Making sense of AI for L&D.

👋 Hi, I'm Julian. I love learning, and I love helping other people grow — that's what pulled me into L&D. The tech enthusiast in me is what pulled me to AI. These days I get to do both: I test what AI can really do for L&D — a full e-learning drafted with Claude in an afternoon, AI avatars, training bots — and I share what actually holds up. One belief runs through all of it: good learning design comes first.

The tools changed. The thinking didn't.

I share how to combine real learning design with AI — and what that makes possible.

I've spent the last four-plus years deep in the craft: live trainings and onboarding, e-learning design, LMS rollouts, coaching, helping hundreds of people across global teams actually learn the job. And the craft itself stays the same. Understand the real problem, design for the behaviour you want to change, and build learning people can actually put into practice.

What's changing is how we build it. AI makes learning faster to produce and more interactive than we ever imagined, bringing almost any idea to life and making training more engaging than we could before. The one thing it can't replace is the foundation underneath: the thinking that comes first. If anything, that matters more than before.

But keeping sight of it all is getting harder. What's possible, and how it actually works. A full e-learning drafted with Claude, AI avatars, training bots, an idea tested in an afternoon instead of a quarter. So that's what I'm building toward: experimenting in the open, sharing what works and how, and keeping the learning design where it belongs, at the front.
